Although Komodo dragons are the largest lizards in the world, but Komodo lizard is not the the longest. Longest lizard in the world is Papua Lizard (Varanus salvadorii). Weight Komodo can be up to 70 kg when he was in the wild, but when in captivity, weight of Komodo dragon can reach 166 kg.
Many of the myth that states that the Komodo bite is very poisonous because they can produce toxins. Actually, that cause toxic saliva of this animal is, the bacteria that breed in the mouth of Komodo. These bacteria can breed very well because, Komodo dragon saliva mixed with blood coming from the gingival tissue, which is torn at the time of komodo dragon eating their prey.
Komodo has a long tongue, yellow and forked. Komodo dragons males larger than females, with a skin colored "dark gray" or "red brick", while the female komodo colored "green olives", and has a small piece of yellow on the throat.
